Introducing the Ranch Wives of Bully Creek
Updated: Feb 17

A story of land, friendship, family, and life on the high desert
Out here on Bully Creek, life doesn’t move fast. It moves with the seasons, the weather, the animals, and the rhythm of the land. That is exactly where the story of the Ranch Wives of Bully Creek begins — not as a brand, not as a business, but as two neighbors living real ranch life side by side in Eastern Oregon.
We are two ranch wives, two families, and two very different ranching backgrounds brought together by the same stretch of creek, the same high desert wind, and the same love for rural life.
One of us comes from a deep generational ranching background. Ranching is not new to her — it is part of her heritage, her upbringing, and the life she has always known. The other is a first-generation ranch wife, learning ranch life from the ground up, one season, one lesson, and one hard-earned success at a time.
Together, we live, work, garden, cook, and raise our families along Bully Creek, building a life that is rooted in land, community, and the everyday realities of rural living.
Life on Bully Creek
Bully Creek is more than just a place on the map. It is the backdrop to our daily lives — wide open high desert, sagebrush, creek banks, dusty roads, and long horizons that remind you just how small you are in the best way possible.
Our days are not perfectly curated. They start early and often end late. They are filled with chores, animals, gardens, kids, meals to cook, and the constant balancing act that comes with ranch and family life.
Some days look like:
Gathering eggs and checking animals
Working in the garden
Cooking from scratch
Helping on the ranch
Restocking the farm stand
Managing homes, families, and responsibilities
And some days look like mud boots, windburn, and doing the best we can with what the day brings.
That is the life we share here.
Two Ranch Wives, One Creek
The Ranch Wives of Bully Creek was never meant to be something polished or perfect. It grew naturally from real friendship and shared daily life as neighbors.
We garden together. We share recipes and meals. We talk through the hard days and celebrate the good ones.We support our husbands, our families, and the work that comes with ranch life.
One of the most special parts of this journey is the blend of perspectives — generational experience alongside first-generation learning. There is wisdom in tradition, and there is growth in learning from scratch. Both exist here, side by side, on the same land.
That balance is at the heart of who we are.
The Farm Stand & From-Scratch Living
Our farm stand is a natural extension of our lifestyle. It reflects what we grow, make, and value: simple food, honest goods, and community connection.
Depending on the season, you might find:
Fresh eggs
Baked goods
Garden produce
Handmade and ranch-inspired items
Seasonal goods from our homes and land
Everything we share comes from real life — not mass production, not perfection, but the kind of food and goods that come from working hands and home kitchens.
We believe in from-scratch living, not because it is trendy, but because it is practical, meaningful, and rooted in how rural families have lived for generations.
Real Ranch Wife Life
Being a ranch wife is not just a title — it is a lifestyle filled with responsibility, resilience, and quiet strength. It means early mornings, unpredictable days, and learning to adapt when plans change (which they often do).
It means:
Supporting the ranch through every season
Raising children in a rural way of life
Managing homes alongside ranch responsibilities
Finding joy in simple moments
And learning constantly
There are beautiful days and there are hard days. There are seasons of growth and seasons of waiting. There are moments of pride and moments of exhaustion. Through all of it, we remain grounded in the life we are building for our families.
Rooted in Family and Community
At the center of everything we do are our families and our children. We are raising them to understand hard work, responsibility, and the value of land and community. They see real life here — the effort, the lessons, and the rewards that come from building something meaningful.
Community matters deeply to us. Rural life thrives on neighbors helping neighbors, sharing resources, and supporting one another. The Ranch Wives of Bully Creek is as much about community as it is about lifestyle.
This space is meant to feel welcoming, honest, and familiar — like a conversation across the fence line or a visit to the farm stand.
