
Apple Sauce Muffins
These applesauce muffins are a simple, dependable recipe we use in our own ranch kitchen. They’re lightly sweet, hearty, and easy to make with pantry staples—perfect for busy mornings, feeding a crew, or packing along for the day.
Ingredients

1 cup unsweetened applesauce

2 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled

1 egg

½ cup milk (we prefer raw)

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup whole wheat flour

½ cup rolled oats (or ¼ cup all-purpose flour)

¼ cup sugar or maple syrup

1 teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon cinnamon

¼ teaspoon salt
Directions

Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a mini muffin tin.

Mix applesauce, butter, milk, egg, and vanilla.

Fold in remaining ingredients until just combined.

Fill muffin cups to the edge and bake 16–20 minutes.

Cool briefly and serve warm or at room temperature.
For standard muffins: bake 22–24 minutes using ¼ cup batter per cup.
